Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim of Waterbury is back in full swing. This program provides a framework for all the mesivta and bais medrash bochurim to come learn and spend their mornings.
Each morning there is a shacharis in Yeshiva Ateres Shmuel at 8:30 followed by a gourmet breakfast. At 10 A.M there is a mussar schmooze given by one of the local maggedi shiurim. This is followed by a seder with provided maarei mekomos for a shiur at 12:30 from another maggid shiur. The shiur goes until 1 where lunch is served and Mincha at 1:30.
This year the Yeshiva brought in special guests to give shiurim. Harav Yehuda Fischer Shlita, Maggid Shuir in the Riverdale Yeshiva came on Thursday march 30th and Horav Yitzchok Lichtenstein Rosh Hayeshiva in Torah Vodaath came the following Sunday.
Started as a small program, due to the growth of Waterbury this now served around 100 boys who come home from learning in top yeshivos. It’s a tremendous nachas for the community to see so many of their boys who were born and raised here coming back and joining in this kiddush hashem. In the words of the Rosh Hayeshiva, Harav Ahron Kaufman shlite “It was worth building the Torah community of Waterbury for this alone”.
